CINEMA bosses have re-vamped Cineworld to make it more accessible for wheelchair users.
The changes come after an application was approved to allow wheelchair users into the cinema unaccompanied.

Changes in the cinema include a new evacuation plan which includes the "key fob" evacuation system as well as a disabled person's evacuation plan.

And all fire exit regresses have been levelled and the upper floor stair wells have had evacuation chairs put in place.

There is also a disabled access log and all wheelchair users are "logged in" when they visit the cinema.

And bosses say full training has been given to managers, supervisors and team members in the use of ramps and evacuation chairs while a complete review of signage has been conducted.

As a result, signage has been put in place stating that the cinema has a disabled person's evacuation plan in place.

John Staggs, General Manager of Cineworld Crawley said: "We are pleased to have these new facilities and safety measures put in place. We want everyone in Crawley to have access to our cinema and now they can in a safe and measured environment."

Bill Irving, from Crawley Town Access Group, added: "Having worked very closely with the team at Cineworld Crawley, we are very happy with the changes that have been made and the results. It is important to us that everyone in Crawley is able to enjoy the same."
